We may collect other data from you when you voluntarily contact us.

Why we collect personal data and the legal basis for handling your data

It is in our legitimate interest to use personal data about you as it is necessary and a legal requirement of Lincolnshire police and other County constabularies in the selling or taking in of guns and ammunition you receive from using our service.  This includes using your data in the following ways:

 If  the  police  request  information  on  a  firearms/shotgun  certificate  holder,  such  as purchases.

Who we share your data with

In order to use our services it is necessary for us to share data about you and  your purchases:

If we are legally required to do so, for example, by Lincolnshire police force or court.

If we recognise you to hold an illegal firearm, ammunition or other firearms related item. We will never share your data with any organisation to use for their own purposes.

How do we protect your data?

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We have an internal process and strict controls in place to try to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed and to prevent unauthorised access.

 Where do we store your data?

All data you provide to us is stored on secure computers or locked away in a controlled access area. We may also store paper records in locked filing cabinets.

How long do we retain your data?

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements to the firearms licensing department of Lincolnshire Police or any other Constabulary under the firearms act of 1968

Your rights with respect to your data

As a data subject, you have a number of rights. You can:

 Request to access, amend or correct the personal data we hold about you.

Request that we delete or stop processing your personal data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing; and

Request that we transfer your personal data to another person.
